Does anyone else remember making tie-dye shirts in elementary school or at summer camps? Kids were asked to bring in a white t-shirt, which would be tied in knots all over with rubber bands and dipped into vibrant paint colors. The shirt was hung to dry and within a day you were rocking a personalized rainbow colored top and feeling super cool while doing it. In case you haven’t noticed, tie-dye has been back in full force lately, although this time it is usually store bought. Every time I turn my head in a store, I feel like I am seeing another product that is rocking the tie-dye colors. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this trend making a comeback, but I think it may be here to stay for awhile.. If I am being honest guys- I am kinda digging it. I don’t know if the color combo reminds me of a younger time in my life or is just cheerful in general, but I think the patterns are so much fun! You also don’t have to stick with just shirts anymore- it is being thrown onto purses, shoes, pants and so much more. I have put together a list of some of my favorite pieces that I have found lately. I’m also not hating the idea of throwing an old school tie-dye party for my little ones so they can join in on the fun!
I know cooler months are coming up, but I don’t like to be hot when I sleep. These pajama shorts are lightweight, high-waisted and come in the prettiest soft pink tie-dye color. They are a best seller and are only $16 at Old Navy!
Kate Spade always does a great job staying on top of the latest trends. This small pouch would be perfect to take to the pool or beach and hold all of your essentials. I could also see grabbing it to run some errands, instead of lugging around a large purse. It is also under $60 which is a steal for a designer brand!
This duffle bag would make a great weekend getaway bag or carryon when you travel. It has an adjustable shoulder strap or double top handles that make carrying it comfortable depending on your preference.
These classic vans shoes might be one of my all time favorite tie-dye finds. I have always loved the classic vans shoes because they are so comfortable. They can be thrown on while you are running around on your feet all day and look great with jeans, leggings, or a casual dress. I love the colors they used for this fun print and think it would add some extra fun flare to any outfit.
I’m also a fan of Steve Madden shoes and these tie-dyed sneakers are no exception. The colors remind me of a beautiful cloudy day and the shoes are currently 50% off! They have also gotten positive feedback and 5 star reviews from happy customers!
Victoria’s Secret Full-Zip Sweatshirt
I love the soft colors used in this Victoria’s Secret sweatshirt. I am always a fan of a full zip outerwear piece because it can be easily removed if you end up not wanting to wear it. This cute top has pockets in the front and a hood that is made of a soft fleece fabric. I think it would be perfect to lounge around the house in or throw on when the weather starts cooling off.
Target always has the cutest t-shirts at affordable prices. This short sleeved tie-dye shirt is only $8!It is made of 100% cotton so will be soft and has a cute crew neckline that looks great with anything!
This sweatshirt from Athleta is another one of my favorite finds. The material is lightweight and breathable and would be perfect if you were exercising outside in the cooler mornings or going to and from a gym. It also comes in two different bright tie-dye colors that could be paired with a ton of different outfits!
