DIY Spider Hair Clips

Hi everyone!

This weeks tutorial is on the adorable spider hair clips that River and I made this week. Has anyone else been going craft crazy this month? River is at such a fun (and exhausting) age right now, every time we see halloween decorations she gets so excited. She is like her dad when it comes to being scared, she loves it and wants to play monsters all the time. She asked me a couple weeks ago if we could make some decorations for our apartment and of course Cody and I said yes. We have been going craft crazy ever since (more posts on that to come).

Our most recent project was the DIY spider hair clips that River has been wearing EVERYDAY since! We had made all of these adorable decorations for our house including some cute spiders out of cups and I kept noticing her trying to put them on her head so I thought it was time to make some cute hair accessories and I just LOVE how they turned out, actually everyone that we have seen the past few days have come and asked me where I bought them. Hi there!

Welcome back, sorry that I was a little MIA last week! Do you ever feel like you just need a break from the computer? I have been on it so much lately with editing videos and blogging that I had completely lost track of my priorities. I was working on the computer so much that I would put my personal time with my family on the back burner, so I decided to take a much needed break last week and spend some much needed time with the ones I love most! I have some fun and exciting crafts, tutorials and fashion posts coming up, even a few halloween inspired ones! YAY! Does anyone else LOVE halloween as much as I do?? I have always loved halloween, but now that we have river it has quickly become one of my favorite holidays. I love to get her dressed up to go trick or treating and going to the pumpkin patch to pick out our jack o lantern. Kids make life so much better!

Ok enough about halloween, although this look would be excellent for a halloween costume, but lets get onto the tutorial! Like I said the other week no one has ever done glam like old hollywood. I feel like the combination of retro waves paired with a winged liner, red lips and some lashes is so beautiful and classic. It has been around for years and I can’t get enough of it as of late. Old Hollywood Waves Hair Tutorial

Hi there!

How is everyone doing on this beautiful Friday?! It has been grey skies and raining all week long where we live so when I woke up to clear sunny skies this morning I wanted to jump for joy! Seriously though, please tell me i’m not the only one whose moods are affected by the weather outside? Don’t get me wrong I know how important rain and snow is, and sometimes it is nice to just snuggle inside and watch movies and eat soup but is it bad that i’m already over fall and winter and they haven’t even started? Gahhhh…. I’m in trouble!

Anyway on to todays tutorial haha… So I posted a few pictures of myself wearing red lips and old hollywood waves in my hair on both Facebook and Instagram and received a TON of requests for a tutorial. So here we are with this perfect old hollywood waves hair tutorial. I really enjoyed re-creating this Veronica Lake inspired look just in time for everyone to use for Halloween! Or just for everyday use, these waves are truly timeless and give anyone that little extra oomph they are looking for to finish any look off. I promise to get the makeup tutorial up next week! Hey guys!
Welcome back, Today we are going over this really pretty braided criss cross bun tutorial! I feel like wedding season this year has been crazy, it has also been SUPER hot so for someone like myself with long hair I would rather wear my hair up and off my neck than down. Dont you hate when your hair gets stuck to the back of your neck because you are all sweaty? eeeekkk…  So this bun has been one of my go to staples when I want to wear my hair off my neck yet want a different look than just another normal every day bun! I hope that y’all enjoy the tutorial!
Also can we just talk about this volumizing spray by loreal?! Guys this stuff is life right now, not only does it smell AMAZING but it actually works really well! I would recommend it to ANYONE wanting to up their big hair game! haha…
