Our Love Story!

Happy Valentines Day!!

As Promised I wanted to get on here and first introduce everyone to my sweet husband Cody and share our love story with all of you! It was so fun and scary/awkward to sit and film this for you guys, all of our happy/funny memories came flooding back and I felt like a silly teen trying to keep it cool in front of my super attractive date! The video is a little bit long and actually would have been longer but I cut quite a bit out, as we were talking each of us kept having lightbulb moments and remembering random things and feelings on certain dates and or times together throughout our dating relationship. We trimmed it down or it would have been an hour long!

I just love Cody with all my heart and am so grateful he chose to spend his life with me. Our babies are so lucky to call him dad, I couldn’t think of a more tender hearted “tough guy” for my daughter river to look up to and ask everyday “dad when I grow up will you marry me?” nor could Parks have gotten any luckier in the dad/best friend/great example department! I am so proud of him and the man that he is, we have been together for almost 10 years now and it is crazy to say that I love him a million times more than I could have ever imagined as a heart eyed teen years ago when I thought I knew what love was. We have moved around from state to state raising our family together and have been crazy happy doing it. Has life thrown curve balls our way? absolutely! Have some of those “curve balls” been hard to handle and deal with? Sure, but our love and respect for one another has always stayed constant. We grow in our times of weakness and when life is hard, not when everything is smooth sailing, I can’t imagine going through life’s up and downs with anyone else!

Monochromatic Neutral Love with Shaggy Bangs!

Hi there Beauties and shaggy bangs fans! How is everyone today? Our weather here is starting to heat up and the snow is slowly melting, so that makes this girl pretty happy and excited! I am definitely not fond of winter weather and am so excited for spring and summer to get here! Anyone else? So if you didn’t know, I recently got bangs, and oh my goodness guys, I am OBSESSED!! It is funny because back in junior high and my first couple of years of high school I modeled professionally and my agency made me cut bangs because it was a super hot trend at the moment. I HATED them, and I always made them super thin and long because I pulled them back off my face unless I had a job. It is just crazy to me how our tastes can change as we get older and how different hairstyles and fashion trends go in and out of style all the time. I am loving the 70’s shaggy bangs and flare jeans that are coming back into style again!

Another trend that I am loving and I feel like will never go out of style is the monochromatic neutral trend! I just love this comfy outfit and how effortless it feels and how easy it is to take from day to night! It is a perfect outfit for the office, lunch with the girls or simple to dress down by adding a cute baseball Tee flannel and cap and some converse for an everyday mom on the go look! Spring Vibes!

Ok guys, as much as I love having the snow covered landscape out my window I am getting a little antsy for spring! Anyone else?? I decided since this snow doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon then I would create my own spring time with this adorable outfit! This skirt is one of my all time favorites, I love how bright it is and I love how it looks paired with booties and a relaxed fit button down shirt!

Is anyone else antsy for the weather to change and the warmth to come back? I am all about living in the moment but seeing that we are getting hit with more snow than we have ever had over here I am perfectly ok with saying goodbye to winter and hello spring!

Happy wednesday everyone! How is everyone doing today? We are still dealing with insanely cold temperatures mixed with a ton of snow up here in Idaho and to be honest I am kind of over winter now lol… I absolutely love the snuggles and loves and snow days that come in the winter time but I am ready for the weather to shift and start warming up again! How about you?

For todays look I thought it would be fun to do an old classic that never goes out of style! The plain black and white mixture that seems to look effortlessly chíc no matter what your age! I wanted to add a bit of pizazz to the look with the winged liner and bold red lip. This is a perfect look for a night out with your main squeeze for valentines day!

3 Ingredient Crockpot Shredded Chicken

Yes you read that correctly, I said 3 ingredients! This recipe is a staple in our house, I make it once a week and then have shredded chicken that I can use over and over again meal after meal! Seriously, we use shredded chicken all the time, a few of my favorite ways to use it would be, chicken salad, fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, pizza toppings, chicken noodle soup, white chicken chile and the list goes on and on! Everyone enjoys the meals that we create with the chicken and I enjoy it because I know that it is healthy and clean.

I am currently meal prepping for both my husband and I so you can see that I load my crockpot full of frozen chicken breast and then I sprinkled a tablespoon of both garlic powder and black pepper on top, put the lid on set it to cook for eight hours and shazam you’re done! I keep our ingredients simple because I don’t want any certain flavors to over power another because like I mentioned above we use the chicken for multiple meals. But there are plenty of people that add salt and other spices as well as chicken stalk for the chicken to cook in. I don’t add any liquid to the pot, the frozen chicken always ends up making plenty of juices and my chicken comes out very juicy and moist every time.

3 Ingredient Crockpot Shredded Chicken

– 1 lb Fresh/Frozen Chicken Breasts

-1 T Garlic Powder

-1T Black Pepper

Place frozen chicken breasts at the bottom of crockpot sprinkle ingredients over the top and cook on low for 8 hours! Easy Peasy!
