Shell Shoes and Denim + Update

Hello Everyone! Happy wednesday! I apologize for not being on top of my posts the past couple of weeks, life has a funny way of throwing you curve balls and I have definitely been thrown one or two the past couple of weeks. I’ve realized just how precious life is and to never take time or people for granted. My mom who also happens to be my best friend and the one who knows me better than anyone else got some devastating news last week, she has breast cancer… This is not something that runs in her family at all so when they first told her that her yearly mammogram  was irregular and that she needed to come back in she didn’t think anything of it. then she went in for a second opinion and sure enough the results were the same, they had her do a biopsy and we all got the news back last wednesday that she was positive for breast cancer. We are all trying to remain calm, and positive and strong for her as she faces this trial like the feisty momma that she is, but it has also helped me to slow down and really look at the things that matter most in this life. My mom is amazing and I am so grateful to have her in my life as a mentor, friend and example she is the strongest person I know and if anyone can knock cancer on its butt it would be her.

over the past week I have really sat back and thought of everything that I thought was stressful, hard and important to me and as I did this i realized just how messed up my priorities have been. before I was so caught up in what people thought about me or said about me or just me, me , me in general and I would let silly comments on my blog, pictures or lives get to me and would let them bother me for days and actually ruin my mood. I was so caught up in growing my brand to be this giant success to show all those nay sayers that I was worth it and that I could be successful and “famous”. Now instead of being so caught up in  chasing fame, let me rephrase that a little. I wasn’t necessarily chasing fame per say but I wanted to really grow my brand huge and be successful which isn’t a bad thing but the way that I have been trying to do it has been all wrong. So now with my new outlook I realize just how blessed and lucky I am to have followers like you all. you guys are seriously the best and I am so grateful to have your support. I am grateful to have the support of my amazing family and instead of spending so much time preparing for and going live I am going to spend more time holding my babies and family. instead of stressing about how much house work I have to finish or whether or not I got my workout in that day or not I want to be there for those that need me most and be grateful to have a roof over my head and a body that functions completely. How blessed I am to get a chance to work from home so that I can see my kids all day and witness their adorable phrases and silly faces. I thank heavenly father everyday for this life I have and the people that have come into my life through blogging and Facebook. thank you all again for being so wonderful!

Keeping it Casual!

Keeping it Casual! Aren’t these women’s red tennis shoes darling?!

Well hello there! So if you’re familiar with my blog, Facebook Page and Instagram at all then you know that I am a pro when it comes to comfy casual mom attire! Ha! I have two little ones that I am constantly running after so I need to be comfortable from head to toe. As much as I love to get all fancy, I usually save those specific looks for sundays or the rare date night, when I don’t have slobbery hands and booger filled noses being wiped all over me!

Do you recognize my top? Thats right, it was from my Stitch Fix order! I was so incredibly happy with my box from stitch fix and glad that I decided to sign up because as a busy momma I dont have the time to shop for new clothes or try new brands. I love that they made it so easy for me and my 6’1″ frame to get some cute clothes! Dressing someone my size is definitely not an easy task so the fact that they were able to find clothes that are both beautiful, comfy and fit correctly means they deserve an A+ in my book! Sign up to get your personal stylist here! They are now carrying plus sizes too! Yay!

Our Love Story!

Happy Valentines Day!!

As Promised I wanted to get on here and first introduce everyone to my sweet husband Cody and share our love story with all of you! It was so fun and scary/awkward to sit and film this for you guys, all of our happy/funny memories came flooding back and I felt like a silly teen trying to keep it cool in front of my super attractive date! The video is a little bit long and actually would have been longer but I cut quite a bit out, as we were talking each of us kept having lightbulb moments and remembering random things and feelings on certain dates and or times together throughout our dating relationship. We trimmed it down or it would have been an hour long!

I just love Cody with all my heart and am so grateful he chose to spend his life with me. Our babies are so lucky to call him dad, I couldn’t think of a more tender hearted “tough guy” for my daughter river to look up to and ask everyday “dad when I grow up will you marry me?” nor could Parks have gotten any luckier in the dad/best friend/great example department! I am so proud of him and the man that he is, we have been together for almost 10 years now and it is crazy to say that I love him a million times more than I could have ever imagined as a heart eyed teen years ago when I thought I knew what love was. We have moved around from state to state raising our family together and have been crazy happy doing it. Has life thrown curve balls our way? absolutely! Have some of those “curve balls” been hard to handle and deal with? Sure, but our love and respect for one another has always stayed constant. We grow in our times of weakness and when life is hard, not when everything is smooth sailing, I can’t imagine going through life’s up and downs with anyone else!

I hope you all enjoy this cute video we put together and the pictures I was able to scrounge together! The first photo was taken the weekend we met up in mccall!

Monochromatic Neutral Trend with Shaggy Bangs !

Monochromatic Neutral Love with Shaggy Bangs!

Hi there Beauties and shaggy bangs fans! How is everyone today? Our weather here is starting to heat up and the snow is slowly melting, so that makes this girl pretty happy and excited! I am definitely not fond of winter weather and am so excited for spring and summer to get here! Anyone else? So if you didn’t know, I recently got bangs, and oh my goodness guys, I am OBSESSED!! It is funny because back in junior high and my first couple of years of high school I modeled professionally and my agency made me cut bangs because it was a super hot trend at the moment. I HATED them, and I always made them super thin and long because I pulled them back off my face unless I had a job. It is just crazy to me how our tastes can change as we get  older and how different hairstyles and fashion trends go in and out of style all the time. I am loving the 70’s shaggy bangs and flare jeans that are coming back into style again!

Another trend that I am loving and I feel like will never go out of style is the monochromatic neutral trend! I just love this comfy outfit and how effortless it feels and how easy it is to take from day to night!  It is a perfect outfit for the office, lunch with the girls or simple to dress down by adding a cute baseball Tee flannel and cap and some converse for an everyday mom on the go look! What do you guys think? Would you rock this trend? Would you rock the shaggy bang trend? If you do make sure to tag me in your pictures! I would love to see it! Make sure to come say hi and be friends with us here and here!

Mom on the go Style!

Hello there my beautiful friends! How is everyone today? We have been getting dumped on in the snow department here in Idaho the past few weeks and literally have mountains of the pretty white stuff out our front door! The kiddos were suppose to go back to school last wednesday and we have had it canceled everyday so far because our roads are so terrible! Apparently boise hasn’t had a winter this bad since the early 80’s and it has been insane for sure! We went to the store the other day to grab some toothpaste and I just turned around and walked back out because the lines for every check out lane went to the bak of the store! What the?! People are in flu panic mode right now haha! Even though it is cold and I am not a winter person in the least I have to say that I am one hundred percent enjoying the extra time with my family!

So onto todays look, Like I mentioned in my FB LIVE the other day (Find my FB page HERE) I am going to be posting to the blog at least once per week, and I would like to keep them fashion and beauty related! This look here is all about stylish comfort and keeping warm in the freezing cold weather! I love pairing long cardigans with beanies and skinny jeans for a more relaxed look, this is one of my favorite looks ever! What do you think? How has your new year been going? Remember, if you dont already follow kyleeskorner HERE and HERE!
